Salsa ‘on 2′ Fundamentals

Dates: Thursday, June 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 9:00-10:00pm

Have you seen or tried on 2 salsa (sometimes referred to as New York or Puerto Rican style salsa), either in a class setting or on the dancefloor?  Gotten frustrated? Most people do!! But the benefits are worth the extra effort - be able to lead and follow anyone, anywhere, on any beat and learn a smooth and elegant style punctuated with fast, multiple spins.  This course will show you how to incorporate what you already know from salsa on 1 to salsa on 2.  You will learn how to switch your shines, spins and turn patterns from on 1 to on 2 and we will help you to understand the similarities and differences between dancing on 1 and dancing on 2.  You will learn tools to improve your on 2 timing and coordination as well as tools to hear the beats and aceents more clearly.  This workshop is geared to anyone who is comfortable dancing salsa on 1 (minimum Beginner 3).  Good for those who want to learn on 2 for the first time as well as those with some on 2 experience who still have trouble staying on time on the dancefloor.
